Jul 5, 2010. so after a complete re-install of my basses old pre-amp, i realize the previous owner burnt the motherboard so im trying to switch it back to the 2 vol 2 tone to endpin jack setup. cant find any diagrams and a cant remember how it was wired. if someone can post a diagram it would be very helpful. Help Needed For 2 Volume No Tone, No Switch Wiring
I believe you just treat as a 1 humbucker / 1 vol / 1 tone but times two. Each pickup gets its own circuit. There's probably some trick to sum the two at the output jack. i have an pj like this. pickups are pretty much in parallel with eachother. just found some examples with a '2 vol 2 tone wiring' search.

Two volumes and a tone would be a great, cheap, classic wiring. The only problem is that there are four knobs bored into the body, and it would suck to have a dead pot or an empty hole. It'd be nice to do two volumes and two tones, but I hear two things: this setup is useless, and the two tone pots would interact.

I'm looking to wire dual pickups in a bass for 2 tone knobs and I volume knob with no blend or toggle switch. Id like to find a diagram for dual pbass pickups and one for a jp configuration. Just trying to simplify my two favorite basses since I like both pickups on at all times. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

If you want to add it, solder it between the input and output lugs of the volume pot. So, here we go (see drawing above): When using a bass-cut pot with a reverse audio taper, the wiring on the pot has to be changed slightly. Instead of connecting the cap to lugs #2 and #1, it has to be connected to lugs #3 and #2, and the blue wire now.

He says turning down one vol will always shut down both pickups. And that this configuration is never done. Using this attached diagram and alligator clips I had this working a few days ago.
